Quality hours
1 quality hour is defined as 60 minutes of net concentrated work, not the gross studying time!
Each lecture hour requires 1.66 quality hours for reviewing the lecture material at home. I usually lecture 4 hours in the Winter semester and 2 hours in the Summer semester, mostly on Mondays and Fridays.
My advice is to make an appointment with yourself to review the lecture material every week. During this appointment you will supplement your lecture notes by studying the appropriate sections of Atkins. You are all mature enough to find outside reading on the subject that may be difficult to understand.
If you are not sure that you have understood the lecture material after having invested 1.66 quality hours for reviewing it at home please ask me.
Prepare specific questions for the next lecture. Because in the beginning I always ask:
